NetCaster is an ideal tool for video, audio and stills coverage of your sporting, charity or broadcast event. Anyone with an iPhone or iPad can become a reporter, whether experienced professional or occasional contributor.

BROADCAST LIVE OR RECORD FOR LATER USE

NetCaster shows can be transmitted or streamed live in 1080 HD, or recorded for later use or editing, whatever best suits your event. Using the preset templates for titles, intros, outros and multi-user display options, the whole process is simplified for easy operation with previews, cued changes and transitions.

MULTIPLE AUDIO OPTIONS

NetCaster allows the use of a GSM phone call or IP-based audio, which keeps audio delay as low and as reliable as possible whilst controlling costs.

MEDIA FILE WORKFLOW

NetCaster simplifies delivery of media to a single location, providing a simple and intuitive workflow for encoding existing videos and photos from the iPhone/iPad Camera Roll, or recording new video or photos. Video and audio capture directly in the app ensures reliable and consistent quality with simple controls. Pre-set compression levels provide suitable file sizes for required delivery deadlines or quality requirements. Video files and photos transferred from POV cameras such as GoPro™ or Drift Innovation™ easily integrate into this workflow alongside files recorded and edited in other iOS apps such as FiLMiC Pro™.

SMART FILE DELIVERY

Livewire’s proprietary smart file delivery ensures the fastest possible upload over any available Internet or network connection back to base. Reliability and efficiency are built into the app so that interrupted uploads can be completed when connectivity allows, and partially received files can be used without having to wait for upload completion. Queued file uploads can be re-ordered, paused or cancelled according to priority.

LOCATION SERVICES

NetCaster uses the GPS position provided by the iPhone or iPad to provide the user’s location to the NetCaster Producer so that remote users can be displayed on a map in the produced show alongside their media file content and live feeds.

INSTANT MESSAGING BUILT IN

NetCaster incorporates its own text chat function so that all connected users can liaise with producers without having to interrupt uploads and live feeds; a vital tool for coordinating shows and keeping everyone informed.

CLEAR COST REPORTING

Uploading HD video over data networks can be costly, especially with satellite systems, so NetCaster shows clearly how much data has been used by the app, and how much telephone airtime, along with pre-emptive alerts to warn users when they are close to a pre-set limit.

RECORDING AND ARCHIVING

All media received by the NetCaster Producer, whether photos, video files, or live video, is recorded and archived for re-use or syndication/distribution.

BGAN SATELLITE TERMINAL SUPPORT

When linked via Wi-Fi with a suitable BGAN or Fleet Broadband mobile satellite terminal NetCaster turns your iPhone or iPad into a wireless phone handset offering superior audio quality over wired handsets. The app also manages BGAN/FBB connections providing cost control and simplicity of use.
